The Thoroughbred
The thoroughbred is one of the most popular horses in the world. Derived from the beautiful Arabian, the thoroughbred is a sleek, fast, and beautiful horse.
Bred for racing, the breed has taken the horse world by storm. Not only do these beautiful horses run - they can do anything! Thoroughbreds are a very diverse - they are quite often seen jumping at very high levels competing against Hanovarians and other warmbloods. Not only that, the thoroughbred is also used for western. They come in almost any size from around 15h to 17h and are incredibly smart. With the proper training they can be a fantastic horse for young children or even for an experienced rider.
Thoroughbreds only come in solid colours. Bay and chestnut are the most common but grey, sorrel, and black is also featured. Only one line of purebred thoroughbreds contains the pinto gene with allows for splashes of colour.
Not only are these horses beautiful to look at and ride- they are easily trained because they are smart and willing. With trust, they can be trained to jump the scariest jumps without hesitation. Not only that, they have been bred to mature early so training can be started earlier, at 2, for racing.
Don't you just want your own thoroughbred?
