• So, I read that if you want to have two rats, you have to get them both when they're young. Im debating if I want to get my (still nameless) rat a rat friend. I probably will, I don't want her to be lonely =]March 13th, 2010 at 4:22pm
  • Tasha Johnson: Actually, if you do introductions with them, they'll be the best of friends. You can check out The Rat Shack if you need more information. You can't just put the new girl into the other's cage, they'll fight and possibly hurt each other. ;)

  • M S V: Before you introduce the newbie, change the bedding, wipe down all the toys, and rearrange the cage content. This will cut down on territorial dispute.
