Schnautzie - The Fluffy Hero

In Rescue 911 style, we present you Schnautzie, the black cat.

It was a cold October morning, around 2 AM. The neighborhood was asleep but Schnautzie couldn't find her peace. She sensed danger. She jumped on her owner, Trudy who was asleep, patting her nose gently with a paw. Trudy didn't mind, knowing that sleep was her better friend at that moment. But Schnautzie was stubborn - she kept patting her nose. When Trudy was finally awake, she noticed Schnautzie sniffing the air. Seconds later, the cat started making hissing sounds.

At that moment, Trudy nudged her husband and they realized that "the gas pipe leading into their house had ruptured and was filling their basement with potentially explosive fumes".

Firefighters later told them that the result could have been disastrous if the cat hadn't reacted. Schnautzie was awarded with Purple Paw for her heroism.
