Just Married - Uwe and His Cat

Uwe stole this week's spotlight! The German postman did something that has never been seen or done before, not even in the town of tinsel; Hollywood.

When the veterinarians told Uwe that his 15 year old, asthmatic and obese cat Cecilia was about to die, he decided to marry her.

"Cecilia is such a trusting creature. We cuddle all the time and she has always slept in my bed. Our hearts beat as one - it's unique!" says Uwe.

Since marrying animals is illegal in Germany, he paid a television actress $400 to marry them. Uwe's twin brother played a witness role.

"At first I thought it was a joke. But for Mr Mitzscherlich it’s a dream come true," said the actress.

As Uwe said, he wanted to tie the knot before his loving companion died and repay for everything she did for him.
