Pig in Distress
When a lady called 911 and said that a 4 year old male had troubles breathing, paramedics from Ohio rushed to the scene. It didn't take them long to arrive, ready to help a child choking on a marshmallow. So they thought. But when they entered the house, the sight left them stunned.
"We arrived and we're ready, a four-year-old child not breathing we're ready to go and we walk in the door it wasn't a child. It was a family pet pig apparently," said Solon Battalion Chief Steve Nash.
It is stated in police reports that the dispatcher referred to the 4 year old male as a child a couple of times but the lady never corrected the dispatcher.
"First was 'thank goodness, it wasn't a child,' second was 'seriously? We were called for a pet pig that wasn't breathing?' Third we had to get crews back in service because it wasn't a human emergency," Nash said.
The city prosecutor now has to determine whether charges should be filed.
