R.I.P Raditz Tenshi 5/3/08 - 4/1/11

After a brave 9 month battle with Mycoplasma and a tumour removal operation in between, Raditz lost (or won, as I like to say) the fight and had to be put to sleep. It has broken my heart and right now everyday is a struggle to move on. I miss Raddy a lot but I am also so proud of him for fighting so hard for so long. Nobody thought he would have lived for so long after being so sick.

Rest in Peace my baby boy. Nothing will ever extinguish your shining light from my heart. xxx The constant love, joy, acceptance and excitement you brought into my life will not ever be forgotten. I love you.

I'll never forget our 'cuddle time' or how adorable it was when you slept on my pillow. Hearing you chew on my expensive Playboy donna cover will always bring a smile to my face. You always had the most cheeky expression when I busted you! :)

Either way, the last 3 years was an absolute joy. Being your mummy was one of the best times of my life. You were always full of life and personality. I'd take my eyes off you for even a second and you were off on some adventure. Be it climbing to the top of my armchair so you could peer through the blinds or making a cave underneath my blanket.

You always made me smile and laugh. I hope your life was as joyful as mine. I tried my best to give you a lovely, happy life with everything you would ever need.

Your out of pain now. That's a good thing. I know I made the right choice.

Here's my beautiful Raditz (known as Raddy or Raddycat) He's a black/brown rat with a white marking on his belly. He is 34 months old and is the most gorgeous little ratty in the world.
He was born on approx. March 5th, 2008 and was adopted by me four weeks later. I got him from a breeder who bred rats to be frozen for snake food. So basically, if I hadn't have got him, he would have been put in a freezer.
Raddy knows a lot of tricks because he's just a smart little cookie. ;)
His absolutely loves Yakult although that's just a little treat now and then. His favourite food is what I call 'bullets' (basically just lab blocks) I used to buy them from a pet shop near me but Raditz likes the ones from right in the city so I travel in there for him!
He also has 2 separate pet shops. One where I buy his other food and toys and one where I buy his special bedding, as he has allergies and becomes very itchy if he doesn't have appropriate bedding.
He's pretty lazy these days, spending most of his time lounging around in his favourite hammock or inside his other hammock. I try and get him to exercise but he much prefers cuddles =)
As you can probably gather, he's a spoilt little boy but I wouldn't have it any other way! The love he gives back is worth everything =)
I suppose Raddy is more like my little baby than my 'pet' and he really does think he's a human baby.
Bottom line: He's adorable. I don't mean to boast, but I've never met anyone who didn't instantly fall in love with him as soon as they met him, regardless if they liked rats or not.
I'm sure everyone on here will love him too.
