Hatter is my new baby Guinea Pig. I had been wanting to get another pig as a friend for Jack, but lack of money had been an issue.

Eventually, I saved up some money and decided to get a new piggy. I contacted Jack's vet, since she partners with a local animal shelter that does exotic animal rescue.

She told me that she had over 30 guinea pigs to choose from, so when I went, I fell in love with the little guy I have now.

Hatter is a lot quieter than Jack, though that may change when he gets older. Even though he's still very young, he's not nearly as skittish as other pigs near his age.

While he does enjoy Jack's company, he does get a bit nervous around him at times- which is probably due to the fact that his brothers used to fight with him.

Hatter is very sweet, and I'm glad that he's bonded so well with Jack.
